Description

This course is designed to equip learners with extensive knowledge for working at height, confined space entry, and rescue activities safely. This course also introduces learners to the safety and protection procedures for rescuers, correct use and selection of appropriate equipment & the stabilization and removal of casualties at heights and/or confined spaces.

Learning Objectives

  • Assess the scene for potential hazards & risks involved in rescue operations 
  • Access using ropes & rope access devices to reach the casualty 
  • Self-evacuate themselves in case of accessive dangerous situation
  • Able to identify & use required equipment according to the situation 
  • Essential knots, ropes rigging & create multiple anchor system for rescue
  • Aid climbing using various techniques/ equipment 
  • Stretcher packaging, casualty management during & post rescue 
  • Highline Rope Rescue System Setup 
  • Ascend & descend through ropes & crossing an edge 
  • Descender rescue technique for casualty lowering 
  • Confined space entry/egress & rescue 
  • Demonstrate any complex rescue at the end of training as part of summative assessment
  • Basic first aid 

Pre-Requisites

  • Site - Hall/Classroom arrangements with Projector and screen
  • Safe Site availability for practical training
  • Learner should > 18years
  • Physically fit and able to participate in practical activities
  • Appropriate PPE- 5 point suspension Harness, Helmets, Safety Shoes, Gloves & Snug fitting clothes
  • Preferably having prior experience of working at height & confined space

  • Resuscitator, Oxygen Cylinder, Gas detector, First-aid Box, Stretcher
  • Communication Devices
  • Breathing Apparatus, Lifeline, and Head Lamp/Torch
  • Tripod/Quadpod
