Description

This course is designed to provide training in entry and rescue in Confined Space in an industrial environment. This course focuses on developing Individual capability as a team rescuer. It is designed as per NFPA 1670 & NFPA 1006. (NFPA-National Fire Protection Association)

Learning Objectives

  • Recall L1 basic such as knots, bends & hitches and ascend/descend 
  • Demonstrate different rope tactics 
  • Demonstrate equipment usage specially related to confined space-SCBA, Gas detector etc 
  • Demonstrate different rescue scenarios related to confined space 
  • Sketch out rescue plan for different rescue scenarios 
  • Demonstrate supervisor attributes in planning & execution of rescue 
  • Apply mechanical advantage using pulley systems in different given scenarios 
  • Assist a lowering operation in (low/high) angle environment 
  • Demonstrate CPR techniques 
  • Demonstrate the operation of highline and belay system 
  • Demonstrate Victim management involving equipments 

Equipments Required at Client's Site

  • Kernmantle ropes(10.50mm) -30m x 8 lengths, 50m x 4 lengths
  • Resuscitator, Oxygen Cylinder, Gas detector, First-aid Box, Stretcher
  • Communication Devices
  • Breathing Apparatus, Lifeline, and Head Lamp/Torch
  • Tripod/Quadpod
  • Other rope access equipment as per training requirement 

Pre-Requisites

  • Site-Hall/Classroom arrangements with Projector and screen near practical site
  • Safe Site availability for practical training
  • Learners should be above 18 years and physically fit and able to participate in practical activities
  • Appropriate PPE- 5 point suspension Harness, Helmets, Safety Shoes, Gloves & Snug fitting clothes
  • Completed working in Confined Space and Rescue using Rope Tactics-Avpi
