Description

This course is  designed to provide training in Rope Tactics which includes rescue from heights in an industrial environment. It qualifies the learners to perform various tasks on ropes for at-height works and rescues in a safe manner. This course focuses on developing capability as a Team Rescuer. It is formulated as per NFPA 1670 & NFPA 1006. (NFPA-National Fire Protection Association.)

Learning Objectives

  • Demonstrate tying of knots, bends, hitches and placing edge protection 
  • Construct anchor & rope systems 
  • Demonstrate different rope tactics 
  • Demonstrate Ascend/ Descend in 3 different scenarios 
  • Apply mechanical advantage using pulley systems in different given scenarios 
  • Assist a lowering operation in (low/high) angle environment 
  • Demonstrate different rescue techniques 
  • Demonstrate the operation of highline and belay system 
  • Demonstrate victim care after rescue 

Equipments Required at Client's Site

  • Kernmantle ropes(10.50mm) -30m x 8 lengths, 50m x 4 lengths
  • Tripod/Quadpod
  • First-aid Box, Stretcher
  • Communication Devices
  • Other rope access equipment as per training requirement 

Pre-Requisites

  • Site-Hall/Classroom arrangements with Projector and screen near practical site
  • Safe Site availability for practical training
  • Learners should be above 18 years and physically fit and able to participate in practical activities
  • Appropriate PPE- 5 point suspension Harness, Helmets, Safety Shoes, Gloves & Snug fitting clothes  
  • Prior experience of working at height & rescue is preferable
